Upper arm lifting is designed to remove the excess skin hanging from the upper arm. The procedure is performed under a general anaesthetic and is usually a combination of liposuction and direct excision. Patients are usually discharged the next day with a drain. The drain is then removed at the first post-operative visit. Post-operative compression in the form of a long sleeve garment forms an important part 

of the healing process.
