Dr Mickelburgh is passionate about improving women’s quality of life and significantly reducing their pain through a breast reduction or lift procedure. A breast reduction can often alleviate debilitating back, neck and shoulder pain. This procedure also has the potential to significantly minimise rashes and soreness under the breast, problems which often worsen during the humid summer months in far north Queensland.  Alternatively, these procedures may be used to improve an asymmetry – either congenital or as a result of breast cancer surgery or radiation. The surgery is performed under a general anaesthetic. A lift may be performed as a day procedure. A breast reduction often requires an overnight hospital stay.
